Data Controller & Processor

This privacy policy is issued on behalf of SMG, so when we mention “SMG” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this privacy policy, we are referring to the SMG. SMG conducts data processing activities on behalf of its clients who will normally be the data controller for such activities. Where SMG is a data processor, we may only process personal data in accordance with the controller’s documented instructions as set out in a data processing agreement or contractual arrangement.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. By ‘your personal data’ we mean any information about you, that you or third parties provide to us. This privacy notice will inform you as to how we collect, use and store data.

SMG has in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, changed or disclosed. 

Further to this, we limit access to your personal data to those employees and consultants who have a business need to know. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. 

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, tax, reporting requirements or as is consented to by yourself.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
